Pakistan’s newly appointed Ambassador to Egypt, Aamir Shouket, officially presented his diplomatic credentials to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi at the presidential palace in Cairo on Monday. The ceremony marked the formal beginning of his tenure as Pakistan’s envoy to the Arab Republic of Egypt.
During the meeting, Ambassador Shouket conveyed greetings and best wishes from Pakistan’s leadership to President El-Sisi and reaffirmed Islamabad’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations across political, economic, and cultural fields.
President El-Sisi welcomed the new ambassador and expressed Egypt’s desire to enhance cooperation with Pakistan in trade, education, and counterterrorism efforts. Both sides discussed the importance of closer coordination between Cairo and Islamabad in regional and international forums, including the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the United Nations.
The ambassador highlighted Pakistan’s appreciation of Egypt’s role in promoting peace and stability in the Middle East and Africa, while President El-Sisi praised the historic friendship between the two nations, noting their shared values and longstanding partnership.
The ceremony underscored both countries’ mutual interest in revitalizing diplomatic and economic engagement, paving the way for deeper collaboration and new investment opportunities between Pakistan and Egypt.
