Pakistani Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday welcomed United Nations Security Council resolution on the ceasefire in Gaza and urged the international community to ensure its immediate implementation.

In a statement, Pakistani PM said that "the brutality of the Israeli forces against the defenseless Palestinian people must stop permanently," noting that "thousands of women and children were martyred as a result of the brutal attacks launched by Israel."

Furthermore, he strongly condemned the Israeli forces' deliberate bombing of hospitals and refugee camps in Gaza, stressing, "Pakistan will continue to support its Palestinian brothers until the establishment of a Palestinian state within the pre-1967 borders."
