Pakistan has reaffirmed its unwavering support for the sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity of Somalia, condemning Israel's recognition of the so-called "Somaliland."
This stance was voiced during a meeting between Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Muhammad Ishaq Dar, and the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Hissein Brahim Taha.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the extraordinary session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers held in Jeddah.
According to Radio Pakistan on Sunday, Ishaq Dar also expressed Pakistan's categorical rejection of any proposal regarding the displacement of Palestinians, emphasizing Islamabad's steadfast position on the Palestinian cause.
For his part, the OIC Secretary-General praised Pakistan’s consistent and constructive role within the organization in defending the pivotal issues of the Islamic Ummah.
