The Egyptian Hajj Mission has announced that 13,062 pilgrims from the lottery quota (Baathat al-Qur’ah) have arrived in the holy city of Makkah, as the Hajj season continues to progress smoothly.
According to Major General, Assistant Minister of Interior for Administrative Affairs and Chief Executive of the Egyptian Hajj Mission, the pilgrims have arrived either directly from Egypt or were transferred from Madinah after completing their stay and visit to the Prophet’s Mosque.
The breakdown includes 1,854 pilgrims arriving from Egypt, 1,848 pilgrims transported from Madinah, and 9,360 who had already arrived in Makkah earlier this week.
Mission officials received the pilgrims at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, overseeing all arrival and transportation logistics to ensure a smooth transfer to hotels near the Grand Mosque.
The mission confirmed that it conducts daily inspections of accommodation facilities prior to pilgrim arrivals to ensure full readiness, comfort, and rapid room assignments. All locations are equipped with necessary amenities to guarantee the well-being of the pilgrims.
In a gesture of hospitality, the Egyptian mission organized welcoming celebrations at the hotels, where pilgrims were received with flowers and welcome gifts. Designated team members were also assigned to support elderly pilgrims and individuals with special needs from arrival to hotel check-in.
Pilgrims expressed gratitude for the warm reception, smooth organization, and the high level of care demonstrated by mission personnel throughout the journey.
