2nd Egyptian-Russian Youth Forum Kicks off

On Sunday, the Egyptian Minister of Youth, Ashraf Sobhy, attended the opening ceremony of the 2nd Egyptian-Russian Youth Forum, held under the slogan of “Innovation and Artificial Intelligence for Development."

The forum is implemented by the Egyptian Ministry of Youth and Sports in coordination with the General Administration of Public and Foreign Relations, Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Russian Federal Agency for Youth Affairs and the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport.

The ceremony was attended by Georgy Borisenko - Russian Ambassador in Cairo, Marat Gatin, Director of the Russian House in Alexandria, Sherif Gad, President of the Egyptian Association, Dr. Fathi Toghan, Secretary General of the Graduates Association, and a number of Senators.

During his speech, Sobhi stressed that the ministry is ready to host any youth and sports events that serve and consolidate cooperation between Egypt and Russia.

On his part, Borisenko expressed his happiness with this cooperation, saying that holding the forum in the new El Alamein city will allow the Russian participants to see the great developments in Egypt.

He pointed out that the declaration of 2021 as a year of humanitarian cooperation between Russia and Egypt highlights the depth of bilateral relations between the two countries in all fields.

The forum aims to strengthen friendly and professional ties between young people and the relevant government bodies of the two countries.

The forum will create conditions for the preparation of joint projects by Russian and Egyptian youth, for discussing initiatives for the further development of youth cooperation between Russia and Egypt.
