The Sultanate of Oman has achieved remarkable progress in diverse global indicators.
In a conversation with SEE, Abdullah bin Nasser Al-Rahbi, Ambassador of Oman to Egypt, said that the Omani efforts made by various sectors come at an important and critical stage full of opportunities and challenges and in light of global variables that have their repercussions on the global economy and national economies.
Al Rahbi pointed out that Oman Vision 2040 seeks to enhance citizenship, identity, heritage and national culture to build a society that is proud of its identity and culture and committed to its citizenship, while preserving the cultural heritage and openness to the modern era. He affirmed that "this improvement would not have been achieved without the political will and executive competence”.
Talking about the bilateral relations between Egypt and Oman, he said, officials from both countries are working jointly to develop relations in various fields per the directives of the two countries’ leaderships. This move is reflected in the economic, commercial and investment fields.
Al Rahbi affirmed that investment indicators between Oman and Egypt began to improve over the past years. He pointed out that a number of Egyptian investors have started to invest in various fields, such as the manufacture of fertilizers in the free zones, in addition to the tourism area.
The ambassador called upon Egyptian investors to take advantage of the investment opportunities available in Oman, particularly in the economic zones and ports. He said that Oman’s investment-encouraging and positive milieu, in addition to its regulations and facilities provided for foreign investors, all encourage investors to come to Oman.
Al Rahbi also talked about the educational cooperation, said that the Egyptian teachers who contributed to the educational march in Oman since the seventies.
