OIC Participates in Third Meeting of Special Envoys on Afghanistan in Doha

The Envoy of the OIC Secretary-General for Afghanistan, Ambassador Tariq Ali Bakhit, participated in the third meeting of the Special Envoys of Afghanistan, which began its work on Sunday, in the Qatari capital, Doha, under the auspices of the United Nations and generously hosted by the State of Qatar.

In his speech to the meeting, Ambassador Tariq pointed out the urgent need to adopt a coordinated and integrated strategic approach to deal with the many challenges facing Afghanistan and its people, stressing that the way to achieve this goal is to engage continuously and constructively with the existing authorities in the country.

Ambassador Tariq affirmed the organization's commitment to continue the constructive dialogue with the de facto government in Afghanistan on these various challenges in line with the resolutions of the OIC Islamic Summit and the Council of Foreign Ministers, especially issues related to women's rights to education, employment and combatting terrorism.
