OIC Participates in Ceremony of OIC Youth Capital Program in Azerbaijan

‏Upon a kind invitation from H.E. Mr. Farid Gayibov Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan، the OIC General Secretariat participates in the Opening Ceremony of the Shusha OIC Youth Capital Program 2024، organised by Azerbaijan in collaboration with ICYF in Shusha on 3-6 June 2024.

‏Concerned authorities in Azerbaijan headed by the Minister of Youth and Sports, as well as the representatives of OIC relevant Organs and Institutions and Youth delegates from OIC Member States attended the ceremony.

‏In his speech on behalf of the OIC General Secretariat، Mr. Boubakari Maiga، Head of Youth and Sports Department،indicated that hosting this program is a further testament to Azerbaijan’s active role in supporting OIC’s activities and programs، and its commitment to the Youth empowerment. He pointed out that this important program in Shusha this year will provide an excellent platform for interaction and collaboration between the youth from different OIC countries with diverse educational and cultural backgrounds and it will certainly contribute to achieving the objectives of the OIC Youth Strategy.

‏On the sidelines of the event, Mr Boubakari Maiga met with HE. Farid Gayibov minister of Youth and Sports of Azerbaijan. Both sides discussed ways and means to strengthen joint cooperation on youth empowerment in the Muslim world based on OIC resolutions in this regard.
