The Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Hissein Brahim Taha, held discussions with the Palestinian Prime Minister, Dr. Muhammad Mustafa, regarding the serious repercussions of the ongoing Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, including Al-Quds, as well as the financial and economic challenges faced by the Palestinian people.

Dr. Mustafa informed the Secretary-General of the priorities of the Palestinian government with regard to humanitarian relief, economic recovery, and reconstruction, stressing the importance of concerted efforts to stimulate the responsibility of the international community towards putting an end to the crime of genocide and ensuring adequate and sustainable access of humanitarian aid to all parts of the Gaza Strip.

Dr. Mustafa also stressed the importance of promoting and mobilizing support for the rights of the Palestinian people in international forums, including expanding recognition of the State of Palestine and its right to full membership in the United Nations.

For his part, the Secretary-General renewed the OIC’s firm commitment to supporting the rights of the Palestinian people, strengthening their steadfastness on their land, and confronting the policies of the Israeli occupation.
