The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) issued a sharp condemnation Sunday following Israeli bombings in the Gaza Strip that reportedly killed 31 people and left dozens injured.
In a statement from its General Secretariat, the OIC described the attacks as a "flagrant violation" of existing ceasefire agreements and an attempt to undermine international efforts to stabilize the truce. The organization held Israel fully responsible for the repercussions of the escalation.
The OIC called on the UN Security Council to compel Israel to respect its commitments under Resolution 2803. Additionally, the body urged the international community to ensure the opening of all crossings for unimpeded humanitarian aid and demanded the withdrawal of Israeli forces. The statement concluded by emphasizing the need for a political process leading to a two-state solution.
