The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) issued a forceful condemnation Friday following a terrorist bombing at a mosque in Islamabad, Pakistan, which resulted in the loss of several lives.
In a statement released from its General Secretariat in Jeddah, the 57-member body expressed "strong condemnation" of the attack, reiterating its categorical rejection of all forms of terrorism and the deliberate targeting of places of worship.
The OIC extended its sincere condolences to the families of the victims and the Pakistani government, while wishing a speedy recovery to those injured in the blast. The Secretariat also affirmed its full solidarity with Pakistan’s ongoing efforts to combat terrorism and maintain national security.
