OIC Chief Highlights Role of OIC Labour Center in Advancing Employment, Capacity Building

The Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Mr. Hissein Brahim Taha received in audience, the Director General of the OIC Labour Center, Mr. Azar Bayramov, at the Headquarters of the OIC General Secretariat in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, on 5th December 2024.

The OIC Secretary-General emphasized the important role of the OIC Labour Center in labor, employment, research, and capacity building and underlined the need for close coordination of all relevant institutions for timely implementation of the OIC programs and projects in the fields of labor and employment.

While commending the active role of the OIC Labour Center within one year, the Secretary-General pointed out the importance of the research and training programs to increase the capacities of the Member States in various economic fields. He also encouraged the OIC Labor Center to consolidate its role in developing new programs and initiatives in the field of labor and employment for the benefit of the OIC Member States.
