The United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) has expressed deep concern over the forced displacement orders issued by Israeli occupation forces in Gaza.

The UN stressed that these evacuations do not comply with the requirements of international humanitarian law.

According to UN spokesperson Thamin Khaitan, the Israeli military has issued ten compulsory "evacuation orders" covering large areas across all provinces of the Gaza Strip since the resumption of its military campaign on March 18.

Khaitan emphasized that Israel has failed to provide alternative accommodations for displaced civilians and has not ensured that the evacuations are conducted under satisfactory conditions regarding health, safety, and nutrition.

The situation in northern Gaza is particularly alarming, with reports indicating that more than half of the area is now subject to such orders. Additionally, there are concerns that tens of thousands of Palestinians remain trapped in Khan Younis and Rafah.

The spokesperson warned that displaced civilians face significant risks, as Israeli forces have directed residents from western Rafah to move to the Al-Mawasi area, which has reportedly been targeted by shelling.

"Civilians who have already suffered multiple displacements due to these orders are once again faced with a harsh choice: either flee again or stay and risk their lives and those of their loved ones," Khaitan stated.

The UN's warning comes amid growing international criticism of the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, as calls mount for immediate measures to protect civilians and uphold their fundamental rights.
