Official Says Egypt Witnesses Drop in Coronavirus Cases

Health Affairs Presidential Advisor Mohamed Awad Tag El-Din said that the decisions of the Egyptian Cabinet’s supreme committee tasked with managing the coronavirus crisis come in the interest of citizens.

 

In televised remarks to 'Sada El-Balad' TV channel, Tag El-Din stressed that Egypt is currently witnessing a decrease in Coronavirus cases.

 

He also urged citizens to abide by COVID-19 precautionary measures to avoid infection.

On Wednesday, the committee tasked with managing the coronavirus crisis, headed by Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly decided to extend COVID-19 measures till end of May.

 

Yet all public gardens, parks, and beaches will be allowed to reopen.

 

Two weeks ago, the Egyptian Cabinet headed by Madbouly imposed new COVID-19 restrictions to curb the spread of Coronavirus cases.
