Saudi official television said that six ambulances provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia arrived in the Gaza Strip today, Friday.
The Hamas-run Gaza authorities complained of a significant shortage in the number of ambulances transporting the wounded after a number of them were targeted by Israeli forces' bombing.
Israeli authorities also prevented the return of the ambulances that transported the wounded to the Rafah crossing point.
The Gaza Strip is witnessing an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe, amid continuing Israeli bombing, cutting off electricity and water supplies, and not allowing the passage of humanitarian supplies, which has led to a collapse in the health and social system.
The government media office in Gaza said on Friday that the relevant departments were unable to produce a final and accurate statistic of the dead and wounded, due to the increasing number of victims and the inability to provide ambulance and emergency services.
The Gaza government announced that “the Israeli army has completely put 25 hospitals and 56 health centers out of service, thus depriving more than 2.3 million people in the Gaza Strip from receiving regular health services.”
