The Kremlin's press service has officially announced an upcoming visit to Russia by North Korean leader Kim Jong-un in the coming days, following an invitation extended by President Vladimir Putin.
In a statement issued by the Kremlin's press service, it was stated, "Based on an invitation from Russian President Vladimir Putin, Chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Kim Jong Un, will undertake an official visit to Russia in the coming days."
This visit comes after Kim's last visit to Russia in April 2019 when he arrived in Vladivostok by train.
During that visit, he held a significant meeting with President Putin on the campus of the Far Eastern Federal University on Russky Island.
