North Korea's National Research and Development Agency announced today, Thursday, the failure of the second attempt to launch the satellite, and it will make a third launch attempt, next October.

According to the North Korean Central News Agency: "North Korea announced the failure of its second attempt to launch a spy satellite."

The agency added that "Pyongyang will make a third attempt to launch, in the month of October."

For its part, the Japanese Ministry of Defense said that "parts of the North Korean missile fell in the Sea of ​​Japan, the East China Sea and other areas in the Pacific Ocean."

The Defense Ministry also announced that "parts may have fallen near the Philippines," according to NHK.

Earlier, it was announced that a ballistic missile was launched supposedly by North Korea. An air alert was also declared in Okinawa Prefecture, southern Japan.
