North Korean leader Kim Jong Un congratulated Russian President Vladimir Putin on his victory in the Russian presidential elections.

According to the Korean Central News Agency, Kim sent a letter to Putin in which he congratulated him on his victory in the presidential elections.

The congratulations came after the North Korean leader used, for the first time in a public event, a private Russian-made car that Putin had given him.

Kim Yo Jong, the sister of the North Korean leader, said in statements reported by the Korean Central News Agency that her brother used the car during an open event, without going into details.

In the Russian presidential elections, President Putin received 87.31 percent of the votes after 99.70 percent of the ballot papers were counted, according to the Central Election Commission.

Yesterday evening, Sunday, Putin expressed his gratitude to the Russians who went to the polls and voted in the presidential elections.
