Netherlands announced that it would suspend the use of the "AstraZeneca" vaccine until at least the end of this March, as a precaution.

The Dutch government suspends vaccine use after 3 health workers in Norway suffered blood clots after being vaccinated with "AstraZeneca".

The government said: "More than 43 thousand vaccination appointments have been canceled, due to the suspension decision."

It added: "This step came on the heels of a similar decision taken by Ireland earlier in the day is based on reports from Denmark and Norway about potentially dangerous side effects of the vaccine."

Also, the Norwegian health authorities said Saturday that "three Norwegian health workers who received the vaccine recently are undergoing treatment in the hospital because of bleeding, blood clots and a low number of their platelets."

Meantime, AstraZeneca said that there is no higher risk of blood clots as Netherlands and Ireland halt jabs.
