The Royal Dutch Airlines cancelled dozens of flights to and from Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport today, Thursday, due to the anticipated arrival of Storm Serene, which is expected to bring with it winds reaching speeds of up to 110 kilometers per hour in the Netherlands.

The airline, which operates as the Dutch arm of Air France, stated, "We have decided to cancel all Royal Dutch Airlines flights from and to Schiphol Airport starting from noon until the end of the day," as reported by Reuters.

This decision follows warnings issued by the French meteorological agency on Wednesday, cautioning about the strong winds, which in some areas, may reach speeds of up to 150 kilometers per hour due to Storm Serene.

This disruption underscores the unpredictable weather patterns witnessed across Europe, with airlines and passengers bearing the brunt of these changes.
