It has been nearly a year since it was first announced that Lebanese superstar Elissa is collaborating with Netflix on a documentary about her life.
There have been no further details about the project except that is being filmed in several countries, including France and Lebanon.
However, now, multiple news outlets reported that the documentary is titled "It's Okay" and will debut on Netflix on January 25, 2024.
A first look at the documentary has been shared online depicting the different stages of the acclaimed singer's professional and personal life, including her battle with cancer, which she was diagnosed with after a toxic relationship.
In the documentary, Elissa also opened up about an important stage in her career, the period she was bullied because of her mouth at the beginning of her career.
Born on October 27, 1972, Elissa has been the highest-selling female Middle Eastern artist since 2005. She sold over 30 million albums worldwide.
In 2005, she became the first Lebanese singer to be awarded the World Music Award for Best Selling Middle Eastern Artist, an award that she earned once again in 2006 and 2010.
The singer is often referred to as “Maliket El Ehsas” (Queen of Emotions) by fans and the media.
Elissa’s artistic journey began in 1992 when she won the silver medal in the Lebanese music competition “Studio El Fan”.
The singer’s debut studio album, “Baddy Doub” (I Want to Melt), was released by EMI Music Arabia in 1999.
