Netflix debuted Wednesday the full trailer of its documentary “Britney VS Spears” that will explore the history surrounding US pop singer Britney Spears‘ ongoing conservatorship.
The singer’s affairs have been controlled by her father Jamie Spears since she suffered a mental health breakdown in 2008.
The project had been the subject of rumors for several months. It was finally confirmed Tuesday after the giant streamer also unveiled Tuesday the first look at the documentary with an 18-second teaser and noted that a full trailer would debut on Wednesday.
The documentary is directed by Erin Lee Carr and has been in the works for more than a year.
Carr also produced the documentary along with Sarah Gibson and Kate Barry. Executive producers are Dan Cogan, Liz Garbus, Jon Bardin, Julie Gaither, Jenny Eliscu, and Amy Herdy.
