Food blogger Nesma Raafat shares her recipe with all the tips for making this treat just right.

Ingredients:

500 grams of flour, flour of biscuits and cakes is preferable

300 grams of cold ghee (preferably prepared at home)

150 grams of powdered sugar

Since the ghee is of good quality, there's no need for vanilla, but you can add a packet of vanilla if you like, along with the sugar and ghee during whipping.

Method:

Whip the cold ghee with an electric mixer until it turns white and doubles in size.

After that, add the powdered sugar and continue to mix until well combined.

Now, add the flour and gently mix until the dough is blended together.

The dough will be somehow cold which will make it easier to form into small balls.

Put the pieces on a baking tray lined with parchment paper or a silicone mat.

You can decorate them with almonds, or hazelnuts. However, you can make them plain, depending on your preference.

Bake in a preheated oven at 130°C for 20 minutes.

Important Note:

To check if they are done, since they don't change color much, gently move one piece with the tip of a knife. If it moves easily, it means it’s perfectly cooked.

Enjoy your ghorayeba, and wishing everyone happy Eid.
