Egyptian actress Nelly Karim is gearing up for a new film, but this time, she will be behind the camera. She is all set to make her writing debut in a film centered around a horse and a young child.
“I am currently writing a script, and it is still in its beginning. It is a film based on my idea with a horse as its protagonist. It is a strange story that I wrote, and I loved it. It will also star a young boy,” she said in a statement.
On the other hand, Karim is planning to participate in the Ramadan 2024 drama marathon with the TV series "Farawla".
The cast also includes Mostafa Khater, Sedky Sakhr, Ola Roshdy, Shimaa Seif, Donia Sami, and more. The series is scripted by Mohammed Suleiman Abdul-Malik and directed by Marwan Abdel Moneim.
"Farawla" will consist of 15 episodes and witnesses Karim return to the comedy genre after four years of absence.
She participated in past marathons with angsty shows such as “Omla Nadra“ (2023), Faten Amal Harby (2022), and "Ded El Kasr" (2021) after making her last participation in the comedy genre with the TV series "B 100 Wish" in 2020.
