On Tuesday, NATO welcomed deepening the partnership with South Korea during the current NATO summit in Vilnius.
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg received President Yoon Suk Yeol on the sidelines of the ongoing summit.
During the meeting, Stoltenberg praised South Korea's support to Ukraine in its war against Russia, highlighting that Russia's war in Ukraine showed that security is a global issue.Moreover, the NATO chief expressed his concern over the actions of North Korea, including the firing of ballistic missile and nuclear activities.
The Secretary General also welcomed the new partnership program between the Alliance and South Korea.
It is expected that the new program will enhance the cooperation between the alliance countries in the fields of cyber defense, counter-terrorism, arms control, and new technologies.
