NATO Senior Official Visits Finland

The Director General of the International Military Forces of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Lieutenant General Janusz Adamzak visited Finland, where he met with many military officials to discuss security priorities and opportunities for military integration.

In a statement, NATO said that the visit is the first after Finland joined the alliance on April 4. 

At the begenning of his visit, Adamzak met with the Finnish military representative to NATO, Lieutenant General Kim Gameri, at the Finnish Defense Command headquarters.

During the meeting, NATO official stressed the importance of Finland's accession to the alliance, stressing, "Finland is stronger and safer within NATO, and NATO is stronger and safer with Finland as an ally."

Looking forward to strengthening the already strong bilateral cooperation between the two sides, Adamszak noted that NATO and Finland share the same values ​​and are committed to defending the rules-based international order and transatlantic security principles.
