Dr. Enas Abdel Dayem, Minister of Culture, confirmed the continuation of preserving and documenting the holdings of the symbols of Egypt's soft power.
Abdel Dayem said that the documentation aims to preserve the history of the giants of creativity who have succeeded in drawing features of the history of creativity in the modern era.
She added that the cultural production sector, headed by artist Khaled Jalal, has succeeded, through the National Center for Theater, Music and Folklore, headed by the great artist Yasser Sadiq, in establishing a museum for the pioneers of the Egyptian theatrical movement.
The museum includes rare collections of their private possessions. This is a step to document their efforts and to preserve Egypt's cultural leadership.
It is noteworthy that the National Center for Theater, Music and Folk Art Museum includes the holdings of more than 19 figures of the theatrical movement, namely: Tawfiq al-Daqn, Zuzu Nabil, Samiha Ayoub, Samira Abdel Aziz, Madiha Hamdi, Amal Ramzi, Samir Al-Asfouri, Mahmoud Al-Jundi, Mahmoud Azmy, Saeed Tarabeek Omar Hariri, Muhammad Awad, Mazhar Abu al-Naja, Munir Makram, Sayed Zayan, Mahmoud Masoud.
Besides, the center is currently being gifted with the collections of Farouk Al-Fishawi, the late artist Aida Kamel, Mahmoud Al-Hadini, Rashwan Tawfiq and Hussein Riad.
