The Nasser International Forum has officially opened applications for the fifth edition of the Nasser Fellowship for International Leadership, a prestigious program held under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. This year, the fellowship will welcome 150 emerging leaders from across the globe, offering them a transformative experience aimed at building their capacities and fostering global collaboration.

The fellowship, founded by anthropologist Hassan Ghazaly, seeks to attract young leaders from a wide range of fields. Participants include decision-makers in the public sector, alumni of initiatives such as the African Union Volunteer Program and United Nations Volunteer Program, graduates of Egypt’s National Leadership Academy, private-sector executives, youth council leaders, civil society activists, political party representatives, university faculty, researchers, journalists, and social entrepreneurs. By bringing together leaders from such diverse backgrounds, the program creates a dynamic platform for innovation, dialogue, and shared learning.

Applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 40, with a particular focus on youth from the Global South, including Africa, Asia, and Latin America. This focus reflects the fellowship’s commitment to global inclusivity and its role in empowering young leaders who are actively driving change within their communities.

The selection process for the fellowship is rigorous, transparent, and grounded in principles of equal opportunity. It is designed to reflect Egypt’s Vision 2030 and align with the Sustainable Development Goals, as well as broader regional and global development strategies. Through this process, the fellowship ensures that participants represent diverse perspectives and bring innovative approaches to leadership.

The Nasser Fellowship is more than just a training program; it is a cornerstone of Egypt’s efforts to support international development by equipping young leaders with the tools they need to excel in leadership and executive roles. Participants benefit from intensive training, mentorship, and opportunities to exchange ideas with peers from around the world. The fellowship also aims to share Egypt’s developmental expertise in areas such as institution building and national identity formation, reinforcing the country’s role as a leader in youth empowerment.

With a strong emphasis on collaboration and innovation, the Nasser Fellowship continues to serve as a catalyst for sustainable development, preparing young leaders to address complex global challenges. Applications for the fifth batch are now open, offering a unique opportunity for ambitious leaders to join this internationally recognized program.
