Lebanese singer Nancy Ajram published a video on her Twitter account from Beirut International Airport, where she was waiting in a long and random queue while carrying her newborn daughter on her shoulder, criticizing the way the facility is run. Ajram criticized authorities for not bearing in mind special cases.
"Today I am not an artist. I am a Lebanese citizen. My daughter is 5 months old and she is crying for one hour from the time of dawn at my country's airport. There are many mothers around me with the same concern. Is this allowed? Is it acceptable to ignore our right as citizens of our country's airport? Is it permissible for us to be deprived of the simplest human rights?."

However, it did not take hours until the Lebanese authorities responded to Ajram.
Airport officials issued a statement in response to what the artist published.
"The congestion at the airport was at peak time and it occurred due to the landing of nine planes in less than one hour at an average of 1769 passengers. It is worth mentioning that security services at the airport, especially the public security apparatus deals with such numbers in a professional and vocational manner."
The Lebanese star re-twitted that she had received a call from the Lebanese Interior Minister Raya Haffar El-Hassan concerning the airport issue.
"Madam Minister Raya El-Hassan, the mother and the exceptional woman ... Thank you for your call and inquiry concerning the Beirut airport issue."
