North Korea executed a simulation of a tactical nuclear attack in response to joint military exercises carried out by the United States and South Korea.

The official media reported that this drill, which took place early on Sunday, involved the launch of two long-range cruise missiles carrying dummy nuclear warheads.

The North Korean Central News Agency stated that these maneuvers were conducted to caution potential adversaries about the real threat of nuclear warfare.

Pyongyang reiterated its commitment to bolstering military deterrence against Washington and Seoul.

In an official statement from the North Korean Central News Agency, it was emphasized that North Korea's nuclear capabilities would enhance its responsible combat stance in all possible ways.

The ultimate goal is to deter war and uphold peace and stability.

This exercise marked the conclusion of the annual joint summer drills between South Korea and the United States, commonly known as "Ulchi Freedom Shield."

The exercises, which included 11 days of continuous training, culminated on Thursday and featured aerial drills involving B-1B bombers.
