Elon Musk’s four-year-old son, X Æ A-Xii, became an unexpected center of attention during a White House press conference with former President Donald Trump.

The Tesla and SpaceX CEO was present to witness Trump sign an executive order aimed at cutting federal spending, but it was young X’s antics that stole the show.

Throughout the event, Musk’s son clung to his father’s shoulders, made faces, and playfully interrupted him.

One viral clip captured the child picking his nose and wiping it on the historic Resolute Desk, a gift from Queen Victoria in 1880.

Another moment saw him mimicking Musk’s speech on democracy, briefly throwing the billionaire off track.

Social media exploded with reactions. Some Musk supporters found the moment endearing, describing it as a rare, lighthearted glimpse into the tech mogul’s family life.

One commentator joked that Musk had turned an Oval Office press briefing into a casual family gathering. Conservative author Brigitte Gabriel called the moment a “cuteness overload.”

However, not everyone was amused. Critics questioned whether the child’s behavior was appropriate, with some remarking that even Trump appeared visibly unamused. Others took issue with X wiping his nose on the iconic desk, calling it an unnecessary spectacle.

Despite the distraction, Trump remained unfazed and even complimented X, calling him a “high IQ individual.”

Musk, who shares his son with singer Grimes, has previously brought him to high-profile political events, including Trump’s inauguration and election night broadcasts.

During the press conference, Musk defended his push for government reform, rejecting claims that his influence on Trump’s administration was a “hostile takeover.”

He asserted that the goal was to “restore democracy” by dismantling what he referred to as an “unelected, unconstitutional fourth branch of government”—the federal bureaucracy.
