SpaceX founder Elon Musk said the company has already withdrawn its request to the Pentagon for funding the work of the Starlink satellite communications system in Ukraine.
"SpaceX has already withdrawn its request for funding," Musk wrote on Twitter on Monday, commenting on the article in Politico, saying that the Pentagon was considering paying for Operation Starlink.
Earlier, CNN reported that it had obtained a copy of a letter in which SpaceX notified the US Department of Defense that it would stop paying for the Starlink system in Ukraine and had no plans to supply Kyiv with new terminals indefinitely.
According to the broadcaster, the message also included a request to the Pentagon to pay for the supply of additional Starlink terminals to Kyiv, as well as the services of the system provided to the Ukrainian authorities and military.
On October 15, Musk noted that he would continue to pay for Starlink's operation in Ukraine independently despite losses.
