Mullah Ejei, the Judiciary Chief of the mullahs' regime, has once again emphasized increasing repression and accelerating the issuance of death sentences and the confiscation of property. He ordered that the cases of opposition elements be handled through "extraordinary and special" procedures.
According to Mizan News Agency, on April 18, addressing a meeting of judicial executioners in Tehran and other provinces, Mullah Ejei stated:
"In handling the cases of 'infantry' elements and those aligned with the enemy, the normal routine must not prevail. At all stages and levels, whether in the prosecutor's office, the court, or the Supreme Court, these cases must be handled in an extraordinary and special manner."
He further added:
"Under normal circumstances, if a case faces a deficiency in the investigation, the judicial authority hands the file to the law enforcement officer for ten days. However, now that we have taken a combat stance, when a judicial official hands over a file in the morning for the completion of the investigation, they must demand the return of that file by the afternoon. In some cases, it is necessary for the interrogator to leave their office, go to Evin, to prison, and question the defendant right there on the spot to conduct the arraignment process, thereby increasing the speed of drafting the indictment."
The henchman Ejei emphasized:
"Judicial officials must not allow any delay or hesitation in the execution of sentences, whether they are sentences pertaining to deprivation of life (executions) or those related to the confiscation of property. Specifically, regarding the confiscation of the assets of convicted elements, we emphasize that no leniency whatsoever should be shown."
