A few minutes ago, the much-awaited unique event to transfer the 22 mummies in a majestic world parade from the place of its current display in the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir to the place of its permanent display in the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization in Fustat kicked off.
The procession includes 22 royal mummies, dating back to the 17th, 18th, 19th, and 20th dynasties.
There are 18 mummies for kings and 4 mummies for queens, including the mummy of King Ramses II, King Seqnen Ra, King Thutmose III, and King Siti The first, Queen Hatshepsut, Queen Mert Amon, wife of King Amenhotep the First, and Queen Ahmose-Nefertari.
A large epic that represents all the state authorities has joined hands to present this event before the whole world in a civilized image befitting Egypt's status, the ancestors' greatness, and the Egyptian civilization's nobility.
The event's main goal is to show Egypt's respect for its ancestors- the most famous Egyptian figures throughout the ages- who wrote the history of mankind and to confirm the ancient Egyptians' prestige.
All the event's activities are implemented and directed by Egyptians. About 350 students, children, and well-known Egyptian artists are taking part in this event, to show their love and respect for their ancestors.
- The event logo:
The choice of the event logo was one of the most important details that the Tourism and Antiquities ministry was keen to choose accurately and distinctively, to reflect strong connotations and features related to the nature of the event.
The choice of design and colors was inspired by the ancient Egyptian civilization.
The colors of the logo came in a double color, between dark blue and gold, which was inspired by the ancient Egyptian doctrine.
Advertising Campaign:
The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, represented in the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion, launched a major advertising campaign to promote the procession of royal mummies on Arab and international social media platforms, especially in the main markets exporting tourism to Egypt.
This comes in the light of the propaganda plan approved by the “Tourism Promotion Experts” committee formed by the Minister of Tourism and Antiquities and headed by the chairman of the board of directors of the Authority.
For his part, Eng. Ahmed Youssef, chairman of the board of directors of the Authority, indicated that this propaganda campaign includes translating all promotional materials and films of the event into 14 different languages, to be published on the official pages of the Ministry and the Authority and in the Arab and international markets.
This propaganda campaign also included allocating advertising space on various social media sites to promote this event in a number of important tourist markets in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Belarus, Ukraine, England, Japan, the United States of America. , Italy, France, and Germany.
Moreover, a number of international and Arab television channels broadcast this event live, in addition to the live streaming of it on the authority’s official YouTube channel “ Experience Egypt”.
