MSC 2026: Thousands Rally for Regime Change and a Democratic Republic in Iran — “No to the Shah, No to the Mullahs”

On Friday, February 13, 2026, coinciding with the opening of the Munich Security Conference (MSC), thousands of Iranians, supporters of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, will gather for a major demonstration at Odeonsplatz in support of the overthrow of the mullahs’ regime by the Iranian people and their organized resistance.

International dignitaries, including John Bercow (Speaker of the UK House of Commons, 2009–2019), are among the speakers at the rally.

Ahead of the demonstration, a senior official of the National Council of Resistance of Iran will provide a briefing on the Iranian uprising and the current situation in Iran in its aftermath, based on reports from inside the country.

The protest in Munich follows the massive February 7 protest by Iranians in Berlin, organized by the National Council of Resistance of Iran, and attended by American and European dignitaries.

Key Messages and Demands:

• Calling on the international community to recognize the right of the Iranian people and Resistance Units to overthrow the regime.

• Demanding the closure of the regime’s embassies in Europe, following the EU's blacklisting of the IRGC after years of delay. 

• Calling on the UN Security Council to take immediate action to stop the execution of the uprising detainees and of political prisoners, following the brutal crackdown.

Background

The Iranian people have made their desire for a secular, democratic republic unmistakably clear through an unprecedented nationwide uprising. In order to regain control, the regime carried out an unprecedented massacre. The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) has now published the names of 2,411 martyrs and according to the PMOI, at least 50,000 people have been arrested.
