Mostafa Shaaban Celebrates His 51st Birthday

Egypt’s renowned actor Mostafa Shaaban is celebrating his 51st birthday on Wednesday.

On Shaaban’s birthday, both fans and celebrities took to their social media accounts and penned down sweet messages for the prominent actor.

One of the most acclaimed actors of his generation, Shaaban is known for his wide range of roles across blockbusters, independent films, and on the stage.

Shaaban is a talented actor who has appeared in films, television series, videos, and plays. Shabaan made his acting debut on television in the 'El-Hag Metwali's Family' (2001). His breakthrough role was as an intelligence officer in the action movie (Mafia – 2002).

After studying mass communication, the young man turned to act in the mid-1990s with small roles in productions such as 'Fatat Min Israeel'and 'Haet El-Botolat'.

During his studies at Cairo University in 1991, he was invited to the Theatre of New Opera where he met the renowned artist and director Mohamed Sobhi, who was about to direct a play called ‘Al-Arabi Al-Fasih’ and decided to cast Shabaan in the play since he believed in his talent.

After graduation, he was spotted by the renowned director Zaki Fateen Abdel-Wahab during the shooting of a film and offered an acting job.

Immediately, Shabaan accepted the offer and appeared in several movies taking small parts, starting in 1993 and including ‘Romantica’ (Zaki Fateen Abdel-Wahab) and ‘El Coptain’ (The Captain) (Said Saed).

Moreover, Shabaan is well-known for some of his seminal works, such as ‘Al-Zoga Al-Raba'a’ (The Fourth Wife 2012), ‘Al 3ar’,(Godfather 2011), ‘Ahlam Omrena’ (Dreams of our lives - 2005), and (Mafia – 2002).
