Most Important Tourist Destinations in Hurghada

There are plenty of tourist destinations places in Hurghada during winter holidays. Egypt, especially Hurghada  is home to the most serene winter destinations in the world, some of which are more popular now than others.

*Jiftun island

- Jiftun island is the 1st natural reserve in the Red Sea. It is one of the most important natural homes for the gull birds; it contains 50% of the seagulls in the world, in addition to other types of birds and reptiles.

- Jiftun includes 14 most beautiful ping sites in Hurghada, as well as a variety of natural resources such as beautiful sand and beaches.

- Due to its great tourist importance, the island is one of the Red Sea economy pillars and has high economic values.

* Abu Monqar

- Abu Monqar Island is named after its eastern side, which is shaped like sand tongue; it resembles a bird’s beak to a large extent.

- The island is characterized by large numbers of mangrove trees scattered on sandy beaches as well as numbers of dolphins, and many types of migratory birds, such as oyster and heron bird.

* Fannaydar  area

- The Fannaydar area is one of the most beautiful natural areas in Hurghada. The area is surrounded by a very thin coral reef, which makes the fish always deep. The fish in this area are beautiful and include shark, tube fish, sea scorpion and whale shark that is also associated with a range of long coral reefs.

* Sand Museum

- Sand Museum is considered as one of the most important museums in the world. It has wonderful sand sculptures of the most famous figures in ancient and modern times.

- It was decorated by the most famous international artists from different nationalities from Arab and European countries. It contains about 42 statues of world and Egyptian personalities.

- Some modern cartoon characters such as Spiderman and Batman were also carved.

- It has some restaurants, children’s clubs and some restrooms, so tourists do not get tired, but feel comfortable.

 Sand Museum

*Hurghada Water Museum

- The Hurghada Water Museum is one of the most beautiful museums in the world. It is one of the most important museums in the Middle East and Africa.

- The museum contains more than 20 transparent glass basins that reflect underwater marine life. It has a 24-meter waterway underwater and visitors can see the sizes of fish in its natural form and the picturesque coral reefs.

- It has been built into several sections, each with a group of fish of the same type. These sections are the Freshwater Fish Department, Saltwater Fish Department, the Valley Section Whales and the Touch Bond section. This museum is considered one of the most beautiful landmarks attracting tourists from all over the world.

* Mini Egypt

-It is located near the Makadi Bay area, and stretches over three kilometers of land. This area provides a different experience for historical sightseeing in Egypt with miniature sized sculptures, compared to the traditional museum.

- Mini Egypt is a wonderful chance for tourists to learn about attractions and historical landmarks in different governorates of Egypt in about two hours. This makes it easier for them to choose which cities they might want to travel to next.

- It is a wonderful picnic spot for parents or grandparents with children or environment for school students to learn.
