Russian Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Sunday that the United States and Britain have been making efforts for decades to contain Russia.
These statements came in response to a British statement stating that Great Britain and the United States intend to confront Russia in the global civil nuclear energy market, according to the Russian news agency "Tass".
Peskov noted that "the path towards containing Russia is a constant factor in the foreign policy of the United States and Britain, this has been going on for more than a decade ."
It is noteworthy that the office of British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak issued a statement on June 8 announcing a new economic partnership between Britain and the United States, one of the goals is to remove Russia from the global civilian nuclear energy market.
