Morocco, Switzerland Discuss Ways to Enhance Bilateral Co-op

Moroccan Parliament Speaker Rachid Talbi Alami and President of Swiss National Council Eric Nussbaumer held discussions in Rabat.

During the meeting, they discussed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation and the parliamentary field.

For his part,President of Swiss National Council expressed the strong will of the Swiss Parliament to contribute to consolidating cooperation relations with Morocco, especially in the field of trade, scientific research, vocational training, renewable energies and immigration, noting that political relations and economy has witnessed significant developments since the signing of the joint declaration between the two countries a year ago.

During this meeting, Nussbaumer renewed the call for Moroccan parliament speaker to undertake a working visit to Switzerland, to discuss ways to improve relations between the two legislative institutions and open new horizons for joint cooperation.

For his part, Al-Alami provided an overview of the institutional reforms and major projects witnessed in Morocco, stressing the importance of strengthening cooperation between the legislative institutions in the two countries and sharing expertise and experiences between them in all areas of parliamentary work and in the field of participatory democracy in particular.
