In celebration of its 121st anniversary, the Mohamed Ali Palace in Manial hosted a slew of events of cultural, heritage, artistic, archaeological, and tour guides.

The event comes within the framework of the societal, awareness, and educational role of Egyptian museums.

The ceremony included hosting a temporary archaeological exhibition entitled "Treasures of Women".

The exhibition included 20 artifacts of Prince Muhammad Ali Tawfiq, the owner of the palace, including belts, hairpins, mirrors, shoes, slipper, a fan, makhala‎, perfume, and other adornment tools for women.

Visitors also enjoyed free tours to the museum and its various halls and most importantly technologies.

The museum also hosted an exhibition of some of the most beautiful flowers and plants in the institute.

Among the events were musical and theatrical performances on Prince Mohamed Ali and artistic workshops with the participation of the children of the Nahdet Bulaq Association as well as holding seminars and educational and technical workshops on agriculture, drawing, and coloring.

The event also witnessed the screening of some documentary films and activities by the Turkish and Indian Cultural Center and the Sina Higher Institute for Tourism and Hotels.

At the end of the celebration, a number of museum workers were honored for their effort and support to the museum during the past year.

The museum is one of the most beautiful and most important historical palaces in Egypt, the idea of ​​turning it into a museum began after the prince's death in order to achieve his will.

The Museum of Prince Muhammad Ali’s Palace in Manial is one of the most beautiful and important historical museums in Egypt. The museum exhibits an important period in the history of modern Egypt and is characterized by its architectural design. Its modern Islamic style merges with Persian and Mamluk elements. It was also inspired by Syrian, Moroccan and Andalusian motifs, as well as Ottoman style. The building thus harmonizes between a number of Islamic architectural traditions.

The palace of Prince Muhammad Ali Tawfik was established between 1319- 1348 AH/ 1900-1929 AD and consists of an outer wall that surrounds the entrance to the palace. Inside the walls is the reception area, the clock tower, the Sabil, the mosque, the hunting museum, living quarters, the throne hall, the private museum, and the golden hall, in addition to the wonderful garden surrounding the palace.

The palace was closed in 2005, and it was reopened after the completion of its restoration project in 2015, and the Fishing Museum was reopened in the palace in 2017.
