CAIRO, Jan. 28 (SEE) –There are many difficulties facing the deaf and dumb when communicating with others because of the lack of proficiency in speaking with sign language, the deaf do not find a substitute for communication through writing but what if the deaf mother is not able to read and write?.
''Tasnim Sharif'', a high school student has been able to offer Mobile Application that helps illiterate deaf people to communicate with others.
Tasnim explained that it is a chat application similar to a Messenger application. It's different in that it serves the ''Deaf'' through the availability of a keyboard with sign language so that the deaf can write in sign language and show it to the ordinary user with the regular alphabet.
Tasnim confirmed in a exclusive statement to ''SEE'', that she obtained a patent for the application, pointing out that the idea came to her when she found colleagues with her mother in the work from illiterate deaf people have difficulties in communicating with others because of reading and writing disability, so she decided to help them with this application.
Tasnim reported that she began working on the project three years ago and is studying in the 3th grade preparatory, after receiving a training course in programming by the Ministry of Education for excellent students in mathematics.
She participated in several competitions and inventions, most recently Cairo competition in innovation; she is currently working to strengthen herself in the field of programming to be able to complete the project and the application.
