"Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One" is finally complete and ready to hit theaters.

The action extravaganza sees Tom Cruise return as IMF agent Ethan Hunt and will be the longest entry in the franchise.

The runtime for the upcoming movie will clock in at two hours and 36 minutes without credits. In contrast, 2018's "Mission Impossible: Fallout", the longest movie in the franchise by far had a runtime of two hours and 27 minutes.

The entry is the first slice of a double-bill story that promises to delve into the mysterious past of the spy and concludes with "Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part Two".

The seventh installment was initially slated for a 2021 release but suffered multiple delays due to the coronavirus pandemic.

As a result, writer and director Christopher McQuarrie began to film the eighth entry long before the seventh movie hit theaters.

Fortunately, everything worked out for fans and the filmmaker as the movies will work as a single story. And while we’ve been waiting for a sequel for five years, there will be less than a year of wait between Dead Reckoning Part One and Part Two.

The journey to bring "Dead Reckoning – Part One" to theaters was long and tedious, which thankfully has come to an end.

McQuarrie revealed Tuesday on Instagram the movie is finally done.

That means all the post-production work needed to make Cruise’s stunts even more impressive is complete, and "Dead Reckoning – Part One" is finally ready to be screened exactly as McQuarrie and Paramount Pictures intend.

McQuarrie also used the announcement to thank Paramount for the support the studio gave him in the past five years.

The filmmaker also praised his co-worker, saying, “Congratulations to the best cast and crew on the planet and thank you for choosing to accept.”

The announcement included a black-and-white photo from "Mission: Impossible — Dead Reckoning Part One", showing Hunt running in an empty street.

Both parts of Dead Reckoning hail from McQuarrie, who also helmed the fifth and sixth installments in the franchise.

McQuarrie returned to direct and wrote the script alongside Erik Jendresen. It is based on the TV series created by Bruce Geller.

"Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One" features Cruise surrounded by faces both old and new, including Ving Rhames, Henry Czerny, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Vanessa Kirby, and Frederick Schmidt.

It also features Pom Klementieff, Mariela Garriga, Shea Whigham, Greg Tarzan Davis, Charles Parnell, Frederick Schmidt, Rob Delaney, Cary Elwes, Indira Varma, and Mark Gatiss.

Newcomers to the franchise include Hayley Atwell as Grace and Esai Morales as the new chapter’s bad guy. More faces will be boarding the franchise for Dead Reckoning Part Two, including Nick Offerman and Hannah Waddingham.

Cruise has cheated death with jaw-dropping stunts for the upcoming movie.

He prepares himself before carrying out these dangerous stunts he does, which include a terrifying jump from the top of Helsetkopen mountain near Hellesylt in Norway as well as flying through the air, then parachuting down the steep mountainside before landing safely on the ground.

"Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One" hits theaters on July 12, with "Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning " arriving on June 28, 2024.
