The Scientific Committee to Combat Corona at the Ministry of Health, headed by Dr. Hossam Hosni, revealed that 53% of citizens were vaccinated so far.
Dr. Hosni affirmed that a percentage has been received two doses, amounting to about 60 million citizens, which does not include ages under 5 years, and their number is 16 million and they are not within this category.
He stressed that the goal is to reach the target group’s vaccination rate to 70%, and 20% of the population has not been vaccinated yet.
He revealed that reaching this percentage is soon due to door-knock campaigns. From here, life will return to normal.
Hossam Hosny pointed out that the number of those who were fully vaccinated with two doses of the target group is more than 32 million and 88 thousand, in addition to more than 43 million and 650 thousand who were vaccinated with the first dose, in addition to the approximately 1.916 million citizens who received the booster dose.
