Higher Education Min. Witnesses IAEMS Graduation Ceremony

Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr. Khalid Abdul Ghaffar attended a graduation ceremony held by the International Academy of Engineering and Media Sciences (IAEMS) on Thursday.

On the occasion of the graduation of the 2019 class, the ceremony was attended by Khalid Al-Anani, Minister of Antiquities, Hani Hilal, former Minister of Higher Education, Ahmed Zaki Badr, former Minister of Education and Local Development, media figure Osama Heikal, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Media Production City, and Fawzi Turk, the Director of the Academy.

Dozens of society’s elite and public figures attended the event too.

The event included graduation of 14 batches who studied media sciences, 9 batches of engineering school, and four batches of the Business Administration Faculty.

At the beginning of his speech, Dr. Abdul Ghaffar, praised the efforts exerted by the Academy that led to the graduation of qualified students for the labor market.

On his part, Heikal confirmed that the Academy is a scientific beacon and one of the most important academic academies that teach media science in Egypt.

“The Academy helped in creating a fertile media environment within the studios; it helps create promising media elements qualified on the basis of sound science that have all the ingredients for success for the graduates of the Academy,” said Heikal.

It is worth mentioning that the Media Science Division awards a bachelor's degree in media science; an equivalent degree from the Supreme Council of Universities. It includes fields of radio and television production, film production, advertising production and multimedia and the Internet.

The first batch of this pision graduated in July 2006.

The engineering pision was established to offer a bachelor's degree in the disciplines of architecture, civil engineering, power engineering and electrical machinery, communications and information engineering.

The first batch of this pision was graduated in 2011.

The Department of Business Administration has also been established with a bachelor's degree in media science and an equivalent degree from the Supreme Council of Universities in the fields of finance and accounting, marketing and advertising, and management of advertising institutions.

The first batch of this pision graduated in 2016.

The ceremony also witnessed the honoring of a number of graduates of the Academy in previous years, as well as a number of faculty members of the Academy, as well as the distribution of certificates to the first graduates of the 2019 class.
