Interior Min. Reviews Procedures ahead of Aswan Peace Forum

Major General Mahmoud Tawfik, the Minister of Interior, immediately conducted a meeting with a number of his assistants and security leaders immediately after arriving at Aswan in order to review the security plan prepared by the Ministry to secure the activities of the Aswan Forum for Peace and Sustainable Development, which will commence on Wednesday, 11th of April.

At the beginning of the meeting, the minister was briefed on the measures adopted to implement the provisions of the city's security plan during the forum's activities.

The minister assured the readiness of the forces by reviewing the security leaderships for the implementation of the security plan. General Tawfik also made sure that his forces understand the scripted plan, assuring that precision is the key to fully implement the plan.

The minister also instructed the security leaders to continuously monitor the field and form working teams around the clock to coordinate with the concerned authorities to face all situations in order to achieve the desired goals of security plans.

He stressed his confidence in the capabilities and experiences of the police officers who were able to consolidate the ability of the Egyptian security system to organize conferences and events at regional and international levels.

The security leaders confirmed that all the forces participating in the insurance process are in a state of security alert, and are highly prepared to carry out their tasks, and that there is no negligence in implementing the provisions of the security plan designed to secure the forum and all areas of the city.
