Miley Cyrus has released her new single “Beautiful That Way,” recorded for Gia Coppola’s film “The Last Showgirl" starring Pamela Anderson, available for listening Monday via YouTube.

The Hannah Montana alum wrote the track with Lykke Li and Andrew Wyatt, who also produced the track.

“Andrew Wyatt is a longtime friend and musical genius. I trusted his instincts for the film as he has devoted himself to finding the sound that supports this project,” Cyrus said. “Lykke Li is a fabulous songwriter and had a great concept which made it simple to come in & make it me.”

“The Last Showgirl,” which will have its U.S. release on December 13, stars Anderson as a showgirl who has to figure out her next steps after her show closes.

“Pamela is deeply embedded into my earliest memories with my mother,” Cyrus added. “We both worshipped Pam and still do. I took the emotion I have towards those times with my mom and the few times we’ve gotten to spend with Pam. I thought a lot about what this film means to her not just as an actress but as the special person that she is. I celebrate evolution and she has done that in such a graceful way which is reflected in Last Showgirl,".

“This song is devoted to the film and focused on the story Gia and Pam are telling,” she continued. “The lyrics really resonate with me personally but sonically this song is a love letter to their project.”

The song’s arrival comes shortly after its Golden Globe nomination for Best Original Song – Motion Picture, where it’s up against tracks from “Challengers,” “The Wild Robot,” “Emilia Pérez” and “Better Man.”
