Madame Michèle Alliot-Marie, former French Minister of Foreign Affairs and Senior Minister (2010–2011), stated today that the world stands in awe of the courage and determination of the Iranian people, emphasizing that the struggle of Iranian women represents the cornerstone of the path toward liberation from tyranny.

Alliot-Marie stated: "On International Women’s Day, we salute Madame Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the Iranian Resistance, who for decades has embodied the Iranian people’s hopes for freedom. She leads a movement where women comprise more than half of its members—a powerful symbol of an indomitable will against an oppressive regime."

She added: "What binds me to Madame Rajavi and this resistance is the steadfastness of positions and an unwavering faith in the people’s cause. She has never compromised her principles; rather, she has consistently affirmed that the future must be forged by the Iranians themselves through achieving comprehensive democratic change."

She continued: "The world must realize that the Velayat-e Faqih system is the most brutal regime on Earth, having murdered tens of thousands of innocent people, particularly women, simply for demanding the right to control their own lives and refusing to live under the weight of dictatorship. While the murderous Khamenei seeks to steal the right to life from the people, the rebellious youth inside the country prove every day that the will for freedom is stronger than the gallows."

Alliot-Marie explained: "True democracy is inconceivable while the mullahs remain in power. Democracy means equality between women and men, freedom of attire, and freedom of belief and expression. These principles are the core of the program championed by the Iranian Resistance and are the sole guarantee for the future of Iran."

She emphasized: "We are here to declare our full solidarity with Madame Maryam Rajavi and the brave men and women in Iran and Ashraf. We are utilizing all our resources to be a voice for those risking their lives at home to defend human values. Defending democracy in Iran is, in truth, a defense of global stability."

Alliot-Marie concluded: "Today, the world needs a democratic Iran to stabilize the region. The future is being written by these resistance fighters and the rebellious youth through their blood and sacrifices, and we will remain by your side until the final victory is achieved."
