Lionel Messi’s father and agent, Jorge, has hinted at an agreement being reached at Barcelona which allows his son to remain at Camp Nou until the summer of 2021.

The Argentine forward’s representatives lead by his father Jorge arrived in Catalunya on Wednesday for negotiations with the Barcelona board.
Jorge Messi told reporters upon arriving that he did not “know anything” when it comes to his son’s future. He, however, will discuss the matter with under-fire Barca president Josep Maria Bartomeu amid rising speculation suggesting that his son could be heading out of his childhood club.
Messi has spent his entire senior career to date with Barca. The Argentinian has broken countless records over the course of his historic career.
The 33-year-old is, however, approaching the end of his astonishing career and is aware of the need to make the most of the time he has left on the pitch. With Barca starting to falter at home and abroad, he has opened the door to a possible exit.
