Egypt has spent LE 500 billion in the agricultural field in order to control and curb the prices, said Khaled Mery in his talk show 'Kelmet El-Ser' broadcast on satellite channel Sada El-Balad on Thursday.

Mery added that the state's interest in the field of agriculture and its keenness to complete the Egypt's Future Project next year will provide 25,000 permanent jobs and one million indirect jobs, pointing out that agricultural projects provide huge job opportunities.

He noted that the state allocated LE 356 billion in the new budget to support the most groups in need, in addition to allocating huge amounts of money for education and health.

The anchor, also, praised the reclamation of 350,000 feddans in the desert as part of the Egypt's Future Project.

Mery manifested that groundwater was provided for 350,000 feddans, stressing that President Abdel Fattah El Sisi asked the project management to finish the fourth phase of the project to reach 1.5 million feddans.

Moreover, he explained that water will be provided from canals and pipes that cut through the desert for cultivation and reclamation of lands.

He continued, "This project is the real future of Egypt, and this is what saved us now, and this is what allows us to provide food security for Egypt, and this is what allows the state to control prices."
