Egyptian-Canadian actor Mena Massoud expressed his readiness to make an Egyptian movie.
During an interview with actress Amina Khalil on the fringe of the 3rd edition of El Gouna Film Festival, Massoud said: "I'd love to do an Egyptian film. It has to be the right film in the right thing."
Massoud voiced his happiness for being in El Gouna city for the first time and partaking in GFF.

"Looking at the Red Sea and water is beautiful. It is amazing. I came to Hurghada when I was eight as El Gouna didn't exist," Massoud said.
Replying on his opinion about GFF, the well-known actor stated: "It is amazing, honestly. It exceeded my expectations. It went far more than I thought it would be. "
"I think it's important to the region that we start celebrating our films as international films," he went on saying, adding that there are great talents here and it is essential to show the world what we can do.

Earlier, Massoud said that it is his first time to be in El Gouna because it's newly developed.
Massoud is an actor of Egyptian origin, born on September 17, 1991, in Cairo to Egyptian parents before traveling to Canada.
He co-starred recently as Aladdin in the live-action of Disney’s 1992 animated film “Aladdin”.
The 28-year-old actor launched his career as a professional actor in 2011 when he appeared briefly in episodes of the television series “Nikita” and “Combat Hospital”.
He also starred as Jared Malik in the 2015 series “Open Heart”, and Tarek Kassar in the Amazon Prime series “Jack Ryan”.
The festival, running until September 27, will hold a feature narrative competition, a feature documentary competition, short film competition, CineGouna platform, and other special programs.
This year, 83 films will be screened, which includes 51 competing in the three official competitions which totals 224,000 USD.
International model Elisa Sidnawi, director Abdulrahman Sissoko, Daniel Kandil and American actress Lindsay Sloan are also among the attendees.
